For this task I really wanted to focus more on lights however I still took some pictures of baubles. This is because I love the way lights look when they're out of focus. When taking a photo of lights in focus (example in the contact prints) it just doesn't look good. There's too much space that isn't filled and it just doesn't look interesting for me personally. As well as lights out of focus, I've also taken numerous pictures of lights through the window, focusing on the raindrops. Below is also an example of the same image however, with coloured lights.
